The Quezon City government is offering free summer programs that encourage children to take part in learning, sports, and creative activities instead of spending time on screens during the school break.
Mayor Joy Belmonte said the initiative aims to help children develop skills, discover talents, build friendships, and continue learning through meaningful activities.
Since April, the city has been holding sports clinics, reading sessions, arts workshops, and health and wellness camps across various communities.
Belmonte said the program reflects the local government’s commitment to providing equal access to learning and recreation for all children, regardless of background.
Parents are encouraged to enroll their children, with schedules and registration details available on the city’s official website, Quezon City Government, and social media pages.
