Manila Rep. Bienvenido “Benny” Abante Jr. predicted that Vice President Sara Duterte will be found guilty in her Senate impeachment trial.
Abante said the prosecution’s evidence presented so far is enough to support a conviction.
The impeachment case accuses Duterte of alleged misuse of P612.5 million in confidential funds, false asset declarations, unexplained wealth and threats against President Marcos and others.
The prosecution has completed its presentation for the first impeachment article involving the alleged death threats.
Abante said Duterte’s alleged threat alone constitutes betrayal of public trust.
