A Pulse Asia survey conducted in December 2025 found that 94 percent of Filipino adults believe corruption in government is widespread, with 71 percent saying it is “very widespread.”
Bribery, misuse of public funds, and kickbacks topped the list of perceived corrupt practices, while tax evasion, nepotism, and financial fraud were also cited.
Despite a slight decline from September 2025, 74 percent of respondents said corruption has increased over the past year, with Mindanao reporting the highest rise.
Public opinion is divided on whether corruption is a normal part of politics, with 41 percent agreeing and 43 percent disagreeing.
The survey highlights ongoing public concern for transparency, accountability, and reforms amid high-profile scandals and political controversies.
