President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. led the turnover of 397 Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) to local government units (LGUs) across Luzon on Wednesday.
The vehicles were distributed to cities and municipalities in Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, and the Cordillera Administrative Region.
Marcos emphasized his administration’s commitment to improving the country’s healthcare system and ensuring every Filipino has access to essential medical services.
The PTVs, equipped with stretchers, oxygen tanks, and medical supplies, were provided through the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program.
The president also directed the continued procurement and distribution of PTVs nationwide to meet the needs of all LGUs by the end of the year.
