The Philippine National Police (PNP) is urging motorcycle taxi riders to use the 911 emergency hotline at the first sign of danger to help prevent crimes and speed up police response.
The appeal follows separate fatal stabbing incidents involving riders in Caloocan City and Cavite, where suspects have already been arrested.
PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III said early reporting allows authorities to respond quickly and provide immediate assistance.
The PNP is also strengthening coordination with ride-hailing companies and local police units to improve rider safety and increase police visibility in high-risk areas.
An information campaign promoting the proper use of the 911 hotline has also been launched.
