7-ELEVEN SPEEDS EXPANSION IN VISMIN TO HIT 5,000-STORE GOAL

Philippine Seven Corp. (PSC), the local operator of 7-Eleven, is set to open its 5,000th store in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, on Dec. 3 as it expands further in the Visayas and Mindanao.

The company had 4,650 stores nationwide by the end of June, with more than 300 additional outlets in development for opening before year-end.

PSC plans to build more stores and distribution centers in underserved areas in the Visayas and Mindanao, while targeting another 600 stores next year.

The company’s net income rose nearly 4% to P1.84 billion in the first half, while 96% of its stores had installed cashless payment terminals.

PSC also plans to introduce more products for younger consumers and continue service innovations as it pursues further growth.
