The Philippines will donate 40 generator sets to Ukraine as humanitarian aid to help restore power infrastructure damaged by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
Ukrainian officials, including Deputy Foreign Minister Olexandr Mischenko and Ambassador Yuliia Fediv, expressed gratitude and said the generators will support heating needs during the cold months.
The embassy and Sen. Erwin Tulfo’s office are finalizing shipment, with delivery expected to leave Manila in May.
Fediv said the timing is ideal as the equipment will arrive before autumn when colder weather begins.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Ma. Theresa Lazaro also met with Ukrainian officials to strengthen bilateral cooperation and explore future initiatives.
