The infamous “Mt. Kamuning” footbridge in Quezon City has been replaced with a new, pedestrian-friendly footbridge and busway station designed for safer and more accessible commuting.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., along with the First Lady and officials, inspected the P87.3-million project, which includes lower stairs, an elevator, and a wheelchair lift to assist senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
The new structure provides direct access to the Kamuning Busway Station platform, separate from the MRT-3 GMA Kamuning Station, and features improved waiting areas, security posts, and tactile tiles for the visually impaired.
Construction, led by a joint venture of Unimasters Conglomeration Inc. and Dragonhart Construction Enterprise Inc., began in October 2025 and was completed in February 2026.
The project aims to benefit the more than 750,000 daily commuters on Edsa, easing their travel experience and replacing the unsafe old footbridge.
