President Marcos remains focused on his duties despite public calls for his resignation amid the flood control corruption scandal.
Presidential Communications Office Secretary Dave Gomez said Marcos is committed to pursuing those responsible for the anomalies, stressing that many have already been charged or jailed just three months after the scandal was exposed.
Gomez acknowledged public frustration and protests but assured that the government is addressing the issue thoroughly and responsibly.
He also noted that the President will not respond to claims from former Ako Bicol Partylist Rep. Zaldy Co, who is accused in the scandal and must return to face charges.
Meanwhile, the administration continues to monitor protests at Luneta, Mendiola, and the People’s Monument, emphasizing respect for peaceful demonstrations and the public’s right to free expression.
