Gilas Pilipinas Boys suffered an 89-78 loss to Chinese Taipei to finish eighth in the 2026 FIBA U18 Asia Cup in Ahmedabad, India on Sunday.
The Philippines led by 12 points before Chinese Taipei unleashed a 23-3 run to take control of the game.
The Taiwanese maintained the lead in the second half to avenge their earlier 88-89 loss to Gilas in the group stage.
Chog Moral led the Filipinos with 22 points, nine rebounds and three steals, while Ethan Aguas added 15 points and seven rebounds.
Carter Matthew Coleman powered Chinese Taipei with 23 points and 23 rebounds, while Yu-Sheng Xing scored 17 points.
