DSWD ACTIVATES BLUE ALERT AHEAD OF TROPICAL CYCLONE

The DSWD has placed its Disaster Response Command Center on blue alert as it monitors Tropical Cyclone Saudel, which may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Monday.

The agency said it remains ready to respond to possible impacts despite the lower alert level.

The DSWD has more than 3.7 million family food packs stored nationwide and at least P667 million in standby funds.

Response teams are also prepared to deploy relief supplies to affected areas.

The public was urged to stay alert for possible flooding and landslides.
