Airfares may become cheaper in July after the Civil Aeronautics Board lowered the airline fuel surcharge to Level 9 from Level 12 for July 1 to 15.
The reduction is expected to lower additional charges for both domestic and international flights.
It marks the second consecutive fuel surcharge cut as global jet fuel prices continue to decline.
The CAB said the adjustment follows easing oil prices after improving conditions in the Middle East.
Fuel surcharges are reviewed every 15 days based on prevailing jet fuel prices.
