FIRST LADY URGES PATRIOTISM, VOLUNTEERISM AMONG NEW COAST GUARD AUXILIARY MEMBERS

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos urged the newest members of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) to uphold patriotism, service, and volunteerism as they begin their roles in supporting the Philippine Coast Guard.

Speaking during the oath-taking and donning ceremony at the Goldenberg Mansion in Manila on July 30, she congratulated the new members and encouraged them to remain committed to public service.

Araneta-Marcos said she had personally witnessed the dedication and hard work of many of the volunteers before they formally joined the organization.

She reminded them that their new ranks come with greater responsibilities but the same commitment to serving the country.

The PCGA is the volunteer civilian arm of the Philippine Coast Guard that assists in maritime safety, environmental protection, search and rescue, and community outreach.
