EL SALVADOR PUSHES FOR STRONGER TRADE PARTNERSHIP WITH PH

El Salvador is seeking to strengthen trade and investment ties with the Philippines by promoting opportunities in tourism, technology, and infrastructure.

During a business roundtable in Makati City, Salvadoran Ambassador Federico Miguel Guerrero Avendaño met with Philippine business leaders to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation and attracting investments.

He said El Salvador is encouraging Filipino businesses to invest in key projects, including the expansion of the Port of Acajutla, the Pacific Train, the Pacific Airport, and the Surf City tourism program.

Avendaño added that improved security has boosted investor confidence and helped reposition El Salvador as an emerging investment destination.

He reaffirmed his country’s commitment to building stronger government, business, and academic partnerships with the Philippines.
