The Department of Health (DOH), in partnership with UNICEF and funded by the Government of Japan, launched DigiVacc, a digital immunization platform designed to modernize vaccination record management in the Philippines.
DigiVacc replaces paper-based records with two main applications—VaccTrace, which helps health workers track vaccine administration in real-time, and VaccCheck, allowing caregivers to access their children’s vaccination records anytime.
The platform aims to address challenges like incomplete data, lost records, and inefficient tracking, especially in remote areas, and will be integrated with the national immunization registry.
The launch, held on July 30, was attended by key health officials and international partners, highlighting its role in supporting universal health care and digital transformation.
DigiVacc will initially roll out in 13 local government units to improve immunization coverage and data accuracy nationwide.
