Diesel prices are expected to go down next week, while gasoline prices may continue to increase due to tighter supply and sustained seasonal demand.
Based on Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) trading, gasoline may rise by ₱1 to ₱3 per liter, while diesel could drop by ₱7 to ₱9 per liter.
Industry sources said gasoline prices are being driven higher by supply constraints and increased demand, while diesel eased due to lower cargo premiums.
Global crude oil movements also influenced prices, following diplomatic developments involving the United States and Iran.
Final price adjustments will be announced by oil companies on May 11.
