The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Cignal have partnered to promote Filipino patriotism through media, aiming to amplify stories of military service and sacrifice.
The partnership was formalized in a signing ceremony at Camp Aguinaldo, followed by a screening of the documentary series Patriots, which highlights the courage and experiences of soldiers.
During the event, Reservist 2nd Lt. Mateo Guidicelli was also awarded the Gawad sa Kapayapaan for his contributions to fostering national unity and patriotism.
AFP officials emphasized that the initiative seeks to strengthen public appreciation for the military’s role in nation-building and service to the country.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Army denied reports of unrest within its ranks, reaffirming its non-partisan stance and commitment to the welfare and morale of its personnel.
