Around 700,000 visitors are expected to visit Manila Memorial Park for Undas this year, according to the cemetery’s management, based on previous years’ records.
The park is the final resting place of prominent figures such as former Presidents Cory and Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino, as well as celebrities like Rico Yan and AJ Perez.
Preparations are underway, with caretakers and management cleaning and organizing the grounds ahead of the holiday.
The Parañaque Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office has set up an incident command post to ensure visitor safety.
The cemetery will open 24 hours on October 31 and November 1, with strict rules banning weapons, alcohol, gambling materials, loud music, and illegal drugs.
