Star Magic clarified that Kim Chiu will continue pursuing her criminal complaint against her sister, Lakambini “Lakam” Chiu, despite the circulation of a 2023 video in which the actress spoke positively about their relationship.
The talent management agency said the interview accurately reflected the situation at the time but no longer represents their current circumstances.
It added that Kim discovered new information in 2025 that prompted her to take legal action, leading to a criminal complaint that is now pending before the proper authorities.
According to Star Magic, Kim remains committed to pursuing the case to establish the truth, hold those responsible accountable, and seek justice.
Kim filed a qualified theft complaint against her sister in December 2025 over an alleged financial dispute involving their businesses.
