Executive Secretary Ralph Recto denied allegations of involvement in “ghost” public works projects, calling the claims made by Batangas Rep. Leandro Leviste “baseless.”
He said all infrastructure projects he supported as a former legislator were properly documented and delivered real benefits, including roads and school buildings in Batangas.
Recto also rejected claims linking him to alleged contractor ties, saying his connection to Rep. Edwin Gardiola was being misrepresented.
He accused Leviste of spreading false accusations and questioned his credibility, while warning him to stop the allegations.
Leviste, meanwhile, challenged Recto to a congressional inquiry to settle the dispute.
