San Juan City and the Province of Bohol signed a sisterhood agreement during the Sandugo Festival 2026 in Tagbilaran City.
The partnership aims to strengthen cooperation in governance, tourism, culture, education, disaster resilience, digital transformation, sports, and economic development.
San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora and Bohol Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado signed the agreement at the Bohol Cultural Center following the Sandugo Street Dancing Parade.
Zamora said the partnership will allow both local governments to share best practices and develop programs benefiting their communities.
Aumentado described the agreement as a modern-day Sandugo symbolizing mutual respect, shared goals, and stronger ties between the two communities.
