Tropical Depression Neneng is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Thursday as PAGASA monitors two other cyclones, including one that may enter the country next week and enhance the southwest monsoon.
Heavy rains will continue over parts of Luzon and western Visayas, prompting disaster agencies to strengthen response operations.
Weather-related incidents have killed 27 people and affected more than 5.39 million nationwide, with billions of pesos in damage to agriculture and infrastructure.
The bad weather also affected 9,009 public schools, while some schools were used as evacuation centers.
DepEd has allocated funds for cleanup and classroom repairs as officials urged faster restoration of damaged schools.
