San Miguel Corp.-led New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) expects over 1.35 million passengers to pass through Ninoy Aquino International Airport during the Holy Week travel period from March 28 to April 5, slightly higher than last year’s 1.33 million.
April 5, Easter Sunday, is projected as the busiest day with nearly 159,000 travelers, while Terminal 3 is expected to handle the largest share of traffic at over 712,000 passengers.
Passenger demand remains strong despite some flight suspensions and restrictions on Middle East routes due to the ongoing war in Iran.
NNIC has deployed extra personnel, extended passenger assistance hours, and strengthened coordination with airlines, government agencies, and ground handlers to manage terminal congestion.
Travelers are advised to check flight updates, arrive early, and complete eTravel registration for international flights to avoid delays during the peak period.
