Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso led the demolition of the Barangay 167 hall in Tondo, which occupied nearly half the road and posed hazards to motorists and pedestrians.
The structure was removed within 24 hours as part of the city’s campaign to reclaim public roads from illegal obstructions.
Domagoso also attended the opening of a new floodgate and trash trap system on Roxas Boulevard, a joint project with the MMDA to reduce flooding and prevent garbage from clogging the city’s sewer system.
The mayor noted that trash from areas near Dolomite Beach often washes into canals, worsening flooding in nearby communities.
Additionally, following a citizen’s complaint on social media, the City Electrician’s Office promptly repaired streetlights around the University of Santo Tomas to enhance public safety.
