Eighteen local government units and key partners in Naga City signed a resolution creating the Metro Naga Coalition on Anti-Stunting and Literacy.
EDCOM 2 said the coalition aims to address child stunting and poor reading skills by strengthening early childhood development.
The initiative will bring together LGUs, schools, government agencies, churches and civil society groups to align programs and resources.
Members will share data, build capacity and track progress to improve outcomes for children.
The coalition seeks to give children better nutrition, early learning opportunities and stronger foundational skills.
