LAS PIÑAS INCREASES SECURITY IN SCHOOLS AFTER STUDENT DEATH

The Las Piñas City government has ordered tighter security in all public schools following the fatal stabbing of a 13-year-old student at Las Piñas National High School.

Mayor April Aguilar directed police to increase campus patrols and strengthen security measures in coordination with the Department of Education and school officials.

The city said metal detectors and security scanners are already installed in public schools as part of existing safety measures.

Authorities are also monitoring the ongoing investigation while providing counseling and psychosocial support to affected students.

The city government pledged assistance to the victim’s family and vowed to further enhance campus safety to prevent similar incidents.
