Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco disclosed ₱2.282 billion worth of proposed infrastructure projects for his district under the House version of the 2027 national budget and urged fellow lawmakers to do the same.
He said he would publish the projects and their allocations on his official Facebook page so residents could monitor how public funds would be spent.
The disclosure came after the House rejected his proposals to require lawmakers to publish their budget allocations and infrastructure projects.
Tiangco said the proposed amount covers 39 projects, including additional projects endorsed by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
He stressed that transparency should be a standard across government, adding that the public has the right to know how funds are allocated and why projects are selected.
