Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation Larry Gadon called on law enforcement agencies to investigate and arrest those spreading fake news claiming that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was seriously ill.
Gadon denied the rumors, saying he personally witnessed the President in good health during the 84th Araw ng Kagitingan event in Bataan on April 9.
Malacañang has also repeatedly debunked claims that Marcos is suffering from serious illness, including allegations of cancer, and said he remains active in his duties.
Amid the online speculation, the President shared photos of a dinner outing with the First Lady, which he said reflected his normal activities and engagements.
The Malacañang Press Corps also rejected accusations of biased reporting and urged the public to be more discerning about unverified online claims.
