Martine Dominique Francisco put the Philippines on the scoreboard in the first inning before the Nationals exploded for five runs in the fourth.
Madaelene Domaug, Chastene Jover, Veronica Velasco, and Mae Langga each drove in a run as the Filipinas completed the historic shutout.
The victory came a day after their 0-3 loss to world No. 1 Japan, with the Philippines facing Great Britain in their next game.
