The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) aims to boost sales for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through trade fairs this year.
Trade Secretary Cristina Roque said the agency hopes to hold at least 15 trade fairs in 2026, building on last year’s 13 events that generated around ₱665 million in sales and benefited over 1,700 MSMEs.
The 2026 National Trade Fair, held until February 22 at SM Megamall, features 300 exhibitors offering eco-friendly, design-driven, and high-value Filipino products.
A Philippine Sustainability Pavilion highlights furniture, textiles, fashion, and handicrafts made from coconut-based materials, bamboo, natural fibers, and plant-based dyes.
Roque emphasized that the President is strongly supporting MSME growth and encouraging wider participation in trade fairs this year.
