The Department of Education has revived DepEd TV, its educational broadcast platform launched during the pandemic, through a new partnership with the Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. and Solar Pictures, Inc.
The program, which halted in 2022 due to production disputes, aims to support learning amid disruptions from typhoons, earthquakes, and other crises.
Under the agreement, KCFI will provide curriculum-aligned educational content, while Solar Pictures will offer a dedicated digital TV channel for DepEd TV.
Education Secretary Sonny Angara said the initiative complements ongoing programs like Alternative Delivery Modes and ARAL to help students who have fallen behind or lack access to digital tools.
Both partners emphasized their commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible, and engaging lessons to Filipino learners nationwide.
