Carlo Bumina-ang made a spectacular return to the MMA ring, defeating previously undefeated Brazilian striker Marcos Aurelio via TKO in their bantamweight bout at ONE Fight Night 39 in Bangkok on January 24.
The 31-year-old fighter took control in the second round, landing a devastating left-right combination that floored Aurelio three times and forced the referee to stop the fight just 50 seconds into the frame.
Despite Aurelio’s strong start and successful takedown defenses in the opening round, Bumina-ang’s precise counters and relentless strikes overwhelmed the 21-year-old Brazilian.
The victory allowed Bumina-ang to rebound from his November loss to Elbek Alyshov and improve his professional record to 9-2-0.
Aurelio, previously known for his knockout power, suffered his first defeat in nine bouts after the punishing second-round assault.
