Daniel Fernando called on Filipinos to set aside political divisions and focus on addressing the needs of vulnerable sectors during the 128th Independence Day celebration in Bulacan.
Speaking at the historic Barasoain Church, he stressed that democracy allows differing views but also requires unity for the common good.
Fernando highlighted the challenges faced by families, students, farmers, fisherfolk, and communities vulnerable to disasters, urging leaders to prioritize their welfare.
Meanwhile, Francis M. Navarro reminded Filipinos that freedom is an ongoing responsibility that future generations must carry forward.
Fernando also paid tribute to student-athlete Rene Clert Baterbonia, saying his perseverance and dreams should continue to inspire the youth.
