Jennifer Tan Uy made history as the first Filipina to finish the Ultraman World Championship in Hawaii, completing the grueling 515-kilometer ultra-endurance triathlon across three days.
She finished with an overall time of 34 hours, placing third among women and 13th overall, carrying the Philippine flag into the record books.
Uy overcame extreme challenges, including long swims, cycling legs, and a 52.4-mile double marathon, fueled by meticulous nutrition, pacing strategies, and her dedicated support team.
Her determination was strengthened by a previous near-miss at Ultraman Florida, which taught her the importance of preparation and discipline.
Uy said her achievement symbolizes Filipino resilience and capability, inspiring others to push limits in endurance sports.
