The Office of the Ombudsman suspended Tayabas City Vice Mayor Rosauro Dalida for six months and one day without pay over an administrative complaint.
The case stemmed from allegations by retired Ambassador Fortunato Oblena that a road project initiated by Dalida damaged vegetation on his property.
Oblena also claimed the road was built to provide access to a property owned by Dalida that was being developed for housing.
The Ombudsman found Dalida liable for conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service.
Councilor Dino Romero was installed as acting vice mayor and presiding officer of the city council.
