MMDA SUSPENDS GO FROM ROAD CLEARING DUTIES OVER VIRAL ENCOUNTER

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) suspended Special Operations Group head Gabriel Go from participating in road clearing operations following a viral incident involving a teacher riding a motorcycle without a helmet.

The agency ordered Go to explain his actions and launched an investigation to determine his liability.

The incident drew mixed reactions, with some supporting Go’s reminder on road safety while others criticized his approach toward the teacher.

Go maintained that no profession is exempt from following traffic rules and said educators should set a good example.

The suspension will remain in effect pending the outcome of the MMDA’s investigation.
