House Speaker Faustino Dy III denied corruption allegations over the insertion of amendments in the proposed ₱7.2-trillion 2027 national budget, insisting the process was transparent.
He said budget amendments do not automatically imply corruption and stressed that government projects must be properly documented and benefit the public.
Dy also expressed support for making budget documents and congressional deliberations more accessible to citizens.
He vowed to work with the Senate, government agencies, and civil society groups to strengthen public oversight.
He said the budget should prioritize food security, jobs, health care, education, infrastructure, and preparations for El Niño.
