The Supreme Court has approved the 2025 Code of Judicial Conduct and Accountability (CJCA) for justices and judges, emphasizing integrity, impartiality, and technology-driven practices. Key features include stricter rules on conflict of interest, financial disclosure, proper conduct in and out of court, responsible use of technology and social media, and promotion of gender fairness and inclusivity. The CJCA complements the existing codes for lawyers (CPRA) and court officials (CCACOP) as part of a three-pronged approach to ethical governance in the judiciary. A nationwide oath-taking ceremony for all justices, judges, and court personnel is scheduled for November 18, 2025. The CJCA will take effect 15 calendar days after publication in the Official Gazette, newspapers, and the SC website.
