A nationwide OCTA Research survey found that 66 percent of Filipino adults support President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s assertive response to China over the West Philippine Sea dispute.
Conducted from April 20 to 24 among 1,200 respondents, the survey showed only 13 percent disagreed, while 19 percent were undecided.
Support for the administration’s approach was strongest in the National Capital Region and remained the majority view across all regions and socioeconomic classes.
OCTA said the findings reflect a consistent national preference for a firmer government stance in protecting the country’s territorial rights in the West Philippine Sea.
