The Philippine National Police will implement full security measures for the June 28 White Ribbon Movement rally at the Edsa People Power Monument, where about 10,000 participants are expected to attend.
Organized by religious and civil society groups, the nationwide protest will call for electoral reforms, greater government accountability, and action against corruption and political dynasties.
PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said police units have been directed to assess security threats, protect nearby critical infrastructure, and minimize disruptions to the public.
He emphasized that the PNP will remain apolitical while ensuring public order, respecting the right to peaceful assembly, and enforcing a maximum tolerance policy.
Organizers said the rally continues the Trillion Peso March protests held last year and during the 40th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.
