The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said 10,540 drug personalities have participated in the government’s Balay Silangan Reformation Program, with 2,798 graduates securing jobs or livelihood opportunities as of May.
Since its launch in 2018, the community-based rehabilitation program has operated through 650 centers nationwide, covering nearly 40 percent of local government units.
PDEA said the initiative helps recovering drug personalities rebuild their lives, strengthen family ties, and reintegrate into society.
Central Luzon recorded the highest number of program graduates, while the Bicol Region posted the highest participation among local government units.
From July 2022 to May 2026, the program produced 5,872 graduates and helped 1,547 participants obtain stable employment or sustainable livelihoods.
