The Philippines has partnered with France to boost its dairy industry, setting a target to produce 80 million liters of milk annually by 2028. The National Dairy Authority (NDA) and Phylum SARL, a France-based company, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to assess the Philippine Dairy Project, which includes a modern dairy farm in Ubay, Bohol. The feasibility study, funded by a French grant, will evaluate the project’s potential for a concessional loan. The initiative aims to address the Philippines’ low milk sufficiency of just 1.66% by increasing production capacity, establishing milk collection centers, and collaborating with local cooperatives.
