Gilas Pilipinas faced a disappointing loss to Lebanon with a 75-54 score in the 2nd Doha International Cup on Saturday. Despite leading 46-40 late in the third quarter, the Filipinos lost momentum, scoring only six points in the final period. Lebanon responded with a dominant 35-8 run, with key contributions from Karim Zeinoun and Gerard Hadidian. Gilas struggled with poor shooting (30% from the field) and 19 turnovers, which Lebanon converted into 26 points. Justin Brownlee led with 21 points, but Gilas’ efforts faltered in the second half, sending them to a 1-1 record in the tournament.
