PALACE DISMISSES REPORTS OF MARCOS RESIGNATION PLANS

Malacañang said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has no plans to resign following Vice President Sara Duterte’s call for him to step down.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Marcos will continue performing his duties despite calls from the Duterte camp for his resignation.

Castro also denied allegations that the administration is controlling senators, police, and other government officials in connection with Duterte’s impeachment case.

Duterte’s spokesperson Paolo Panelo defended her position, saying she was elected to succeed Marcos if he resigns, while Duterte has also declared her candidacy for president in 2028.

Marcos earlier responded to Duterte’s attacks by saying that he cannot force anyone to love him.
