The Quezon City government and Physicians for Peace Philippines launched a mobile clinic to provide prosthetic and orthotic assessment services to persons with disabilities (PWDs).
The POWER Mobile Van-Prosthesis and Orthosis Clinic on Wheels will serve QCitizen PWDs with limited access to specialized rehabilitation services.
Mayor Joy Belmonte and PFPP Chief Operating Officer Lyne Abanilla led the signing of the partnership agreement on Sept. 14.
The initiative aims to address the mobility and rehabilitation needs of PWDs.
It also seeks to help them live more independently and with greater dignity.
