President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said the country needs to improve technologies that can boost food production while adding nutritional value.
During his visit to Nutridense Food Manufacturing Corp. in Pangasinan, Marcos highlighted the need to scale up food technologies from research to manufacturing.
He said such innovations can help strengthen food security and improve children’s nutrition.
Nutridense produces fortified rice, biscuits, and other food products with support from the DOST.
Marcos also visited Sta. Barbara Central School, where students received nutritious meals and families benefited from medical, dental, and PhilHealth services.
