P61-M FOOD TERMINAL CONSTRUCTION BEGINS IN BOHOL

A P61-million Regional Food Terminal broke ground in Catigbian, Bohol, to strengthen agricultural marketing and food security.

Funded by Food Terminal Inc., the facility will collect, store, process, and distribute farm and fishery products from Catigbian and nearby areas.

It will allow farmers and fisherfolk to sell directly to buyers, reducing reliance on middlemen and improving their incomes.

The terminal will also offer cold storage and other facilities to provide consumers with fresh and affordable products.

Mayor Benjie Oliva said the project will complement the town’s programs on smart farming, livestock, and crop production.
