Senator Imee Marcos stated on Thursday that she will not contribute to the ongoing disputes among her “friends,” although she did not name them.
During the Pandesal Forum in Quezon City, she explained her decision to leave the administration’s senatorial slate, emphasizing the importance of reconciliation over conflict.
“If you have two friends who are fighting, you should help them communicate and understand each other, rather than inflaming the situation,” she said.
Marcos noted that her brother, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., understands her stance of neutrality and her commitment to unity.
She also expressed concerns about the complexity of the administration slate, which includes candidates from various parties, suggesting it may lead to challenges in the local elections.
