The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has allocated an initial P368 million for the concreting of a 5.6-kilometer road linking the Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) to Cabanatuan City and nearby towns.
The funding, sourced from the 2026 General Appropriations Act, was confirmed during a site inspection led by DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon and local officials, including Rep. Julius Cesar Vergara and Mayor Myca Elizabeth Vergara.
The project, first initiated by the city government in 2019, includes key infrastructure such as bridges and flyovers already partially completed by the local government.
DPWH aims to finish a two-lane concrete road within the year, with plans to expand it to four lanes by 2027.
Officials said the project will improve mobility, strengthen economic activity, and attract more investments in the region.
