The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has awarded a P121.45-million contract to Unimasters Conglomeration Inc. to build bicycle lanes and jeepney stops in Quezon City.
The project includes 12 kilometers of protected Class 2 bike lanes along Quezon Avenue and E. Rodriguez Avenue, designed with bollards for cyclist safety.
Unimasters will also construct 23 end-of-trip facilities and modern jeepney stops equipped with solar panels, charging stations, seats, and ramps for persons with disabilities.
The contractor, based in Tacloban and known for airport and road projects, has 270 days to complete the work.
This project follows Unimasters’ recent DOTr contract to build new busway stops in Cubao, Magallanes, and the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange.
